Dimensions Part 3

                                                 DIMENSIONS 3
After the last anonymous phone call, Tosin does not have any idea what to expect. He is absolutely certain that it has to be something unpleasant that the anonymous caller is leading him to and even though he pretends to himself that he is brave enough to find out, he knows deep inside that all of it is just a charade. He also wonders the role of the anonymous caller and why he deems it fit everytime to contact him to give him information on anything. The trend all along has been ‘Chuka’, ‘Tosin’ and nothing else. Thus far, it has been all about bad news so he gives Mr Anonymous a nickname, “Bearer Of Bad News!”  The time for the latest discovery of more bad news is here. He prepares but just an hour to the stipulated time, he gets a text message containing just three words that change everything from none other than the only girl in the world that could successfully push his buttons and turn him into the proverbial ‘vegetable’, Amarachi. The text reads, “I Am Back.”

BEARER OF BAD NEWS
This is so much fun. Wow. A Nollywood script could not possibly be played out better than this. All the major players are here now. Confused kids! All the other games with the other people don’t come close to this in entertainment. Never a dull moment. It is funny how easily I brought out the insecurity in each of them and ultimately, the beast. So my characters are ready for showdown. Tosin, a confused soul who after promising to love Amarachi for the rest of his life now goes after another girl as soon as she is temporarily absent forgetting that she will one day come back. He is so insecure about love. Any little thing makes him feel unloved and he so quickly runs into the arms of another just to feel secure in the knowledge that someone loves him enough to date him. Now that Amarachi is back I wonder what he will say to her was his excuse for going to the strange lengths that he did all for another girl. Chuka, Mr Loyal. Always claims he is loyal to all his friends at his own expense and one horrible relationship in the past turns him from potential cassanova to withdrawn good man. He refuted all suggestions that He had feelings for Jumoke and now just seeing her nude has turned him into her slave. In fact, he looks more like a stalker rather than a guy in love. What a shame. I led him to believe I could help him get her and gave him implicating instructions and he will no doubt do them as soon as Jumoke gets here. That boy has certainly lost his head! The Strength of a Woman! Jumoke, the initially innocent but ultimately predictable one. I give her a key to a man’s apartment and she tries to seduce him just as I expected. They say love makes us do stupid things but if a woman thinks her body is a worthy sacrifice for love, she is on the mistaken. Never give a man such a thing if he did not ask for it Jumoke, when will you learn? Even when he does ask for it, giving him most of the time means losing a valuable leverage and nine out of ten times, he’ll bolt easily when he gets tired of what he will call ‘same old, same old’. Men like the challenge of difficulty and the thrill of conquest. Attempting to take that away halves a woman’s value in a man’s mind. I wonder where Jumoke gets her naïveté from. It is strange in a way how she still does not have a clue that Tosin wants to date her. A lady that cannot quickly pick up signals that a guy gives always baffles me. A new born child would see right through the ‘Best Friend Forever’ nonsense that Tosin puts up and yet Jumoke is still ignorant of it. She actually loves Chuka though. Her eyes tell it, her expression when she looks into his face, her countenance when he is around her. Everything she does and everything she inadvertently is tell all. She has so far been the easiest to manipulate. I hate to manipulate people but Jumoke’s case is peculiar. When all the dirty schemes behind the scenes long unknown to her come to light today, I hope she survives it without going nuts. Chuka and Tosin would have been the perfect people for her to be around sometime in the past but not now. The evil part of those two have been drawn out and neither of them is innocent. Both guilty as Jumoke will find out today. Amarachi; out of the picture for so long is back. It means good and bad news for everyone. For Tosin because she will find out all what is going on and just how terrible a person he is. Bad news.  Good news because Tosin loves her so much and a year without her around sure felt like a decade. No one knows why she had to defer her admission and leave without informing anyone or why she refused to say anything more than that when she finally decided to explain. They all feared that something bad had happened but now she is back to throw more light on the ‘mysteries’. It’s bad news for  Chuka because Amarachi is a schemer and when she finds out that he was somehow a coconspirator in Tosin’s childish plans to get Jumoke, she could potentially frustrate everything he does. It’s good news though because Amarachi’s presence automatically takes Tosin away from the picture that has Jumoke. It’s good news for Jumoke because her cousin is back. Yes, her cousin! After doing some background check, I found out that Jumoke and Amarachi are actually cousins and have been very close for years. Tosin and Chuka have no clue. It’s bad news though because Amarachi does not take kindly to any girl attracting her man’s attention. She destroys the girl without batting an eyelid. Jumoke could come out of this the worst of them all. Tosin, Amarachi, Jumoke, Chuka…A parallelogram with two lines of symmetry and me at the centre, how poetic? Everyone is here now, my camera is ready, sound is good, let the drama begin!
